Project Overview
Fairtex executed boiler repair and maintenance activities for CWAY Food & Beverages Nigeria Co. Ltd as part of an industrial utility system reliability support program within an active manufacturing environment in Ogun State, Nigeria.
The scope included inspection-led maintenance intervention, boiler system repair coordination, welding activities within confined operational spaces, and restoration support for process heating infrastructure critical to continuous production operations.
Execution was performed under active plant operating conditions requiring controlled access management, equipment isolation coordination, and maintenance planning aligned with operational continuity requirements.
The Challenge
The client required maintenance intervention on an industrial boiler system supporting production operations within a live manufacturing facility. Operational exposure included potential downtime impact, thermal system reliability concerns, restricted access work environments, and the need for coordinated maintenance execution within existing plant infrastructure.
Observed site conditions indicated confined-space welding activities, aging process equipment surfaces, and operational utility infrastructure requiring structured maintenance planning and controlled repair execution.
The maintenance scope required disciplined intervention sequencing to minimize disruption to production activities while supporting equipment integrity restoration and safe return-to-service objectives.
Our Approach
Fairtex deployed a maintenance and fabrication support team to execute phased repair activities covering inspection, defect assessment, welding intervention, equipment restoration, and mechanical maintenance coordination.
The execution strategy incorporated:
Inspection & Condition Review
Initial assessment activities were conducted to identify visible deterioration areas, maintenance priorities, access constraints, and repair requirements affecting boiler operational integrity.
Controlled Maintenance Execution
Repair activities were coordinated within confined operational spaces using controlled welding procedures, equipment isolation practices, and phased intervention sequencing to support safe maintenance delivery.
Mechanical Repair Support
Maintenance intervention included structural and mechanical repair support associated with boiler system restoration and operational readiness activities.
Operational Coordination
Execution planning was aligned with plant operational schedules to reduce maintenance-related disruption and support timely equipment reinstatement.
Phased Delivery
Phase 1 — Site Assessment
Review of boiler condition, work access limitations, maintenance requirements, and operational interface conditions.
Phase 2 — Isolation & Mobilization
Preparation of work area, controlled equipment isolation, maintenance access preparation, and deployment of welding and repair resources.
Phase 3 — Repair Intervention
Execution of welding repairs, mechanical maintenance activities, and restoration support under controlled maintenance procedures.
Phase 4 — Validation & Reinstatement
Completion review, integrity confirmation activities, and support for operational return-to-service readiness.
Outcome
The completed maintenance program supported continued boiler operational availability within the client’s manufacturing facility while reducing exposure to unplanned utility system interruption.
The intervention provided structured maintenance execution across critical thermal infrastructure, supporting operational continuity, controlled repair delivery, and ongoing equipment lifecycle support within the production environment.
Fairtex consolidated inspection, welding, and maintenance coordination activities into a single execution framework suitable for active industrial process environments.
